After months of indecision, I have finally begun a blog. Because I’m still ambivalent about spending time doing this, I may or may not continue. Do look at my About page where I tell what my intentions are for this blog and introduce myself. And leave me a “hi” in the Comment box so I’ll know you’ve been here.

This crazy quilt (CQ) patchwork piece includes the traditional bridal good-luck items: something old (patches from Ernie’s paisley necktie, my orange linen shirt, and lace from a long-ago outworn nightgown of mine), something new (Etal, the metal fabric and stitches new to me from TAST), something borrowed (the apple blossom motif from their wedding invitation), and something blue (fabrics and threads.) I spent a happy 85 hours on this project.

Hi Jowynn, geat to see you ‘on the blog!’. Looking forward to seeing what you put up here, and to getting to know you better.
Hey Gram,
We just got back from our Honeymoon (still stumbling due to the 8 hour time difference) in Portugal. We love your wedding present. It is beautiful and every time I look at it I see something new. It is hanging in our living room. Nan and Geoff have the needlework clock that was made and gifted to them for their wedding which I grew up with, and I really like having something similar.
I love the idea of you keeping a blog and I believe that I would be a regular contributor.
Bye for now with much love
Caleb
Hi Jowynn, Welcome to blogger land…already you have contributed to my inspiration, I am about to make a cover for a wedding album and I hadn’t thought of the old, new, borrowed and blue…I hope that you get as much out of blogging as what I have
The layout for your blog is stunning. I’m not surprised though since you never do things halfway: your stitching is aesthetically beautiful and so is your blog. I’m adding it to my RSS.
Hi and welcome to the world of blogging. I hope you continue to post to your blog as it is a great way to get to know you better and I love to see pictures!

Good idea!!
What a great way to keep up with everything and everyone!!!
Hi JoWynn
Great you have a blog. With RSS too
I’ll suscribe at once.
Your life seems to have been very rich so far, and I admire how you keep it that way.
I feel honored that you invited me into your blog.
Hugs

I wish you nice moments with the blog as i haven’t myself dared to try. I am afraid of the time used to update etc. But I like to have a look at others’ every now and then.
How nice words from Caleb, you dodn’t do all the work in vain!
Good for you!
I started by blog just for the purpose of posting the embroidery challenge. I started adding other things and I’m surprised how far it reaches. I have regular readers all over the world. I started in Jan. and there has been over 3,600 hits. It only takes a few minutes to load items, I do it about once a week and it is great to get replies. I then get a chance to see what others are doing!
Congratulations on the new blog. What a beautiful wedding gift! I’m going to share your blog with a good friend of mine who’s an avid and accomplished quilter. Maria Garriott
Hi JoWynn,
I loved your blog. It is fun to see what you are doing creatively. I’m certainly not surprised since I saw much of your creativity first hand many years ago when I spent summers at your house. Ruth
Hi Aunt Jody!
Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed reading your blog. I had no idea that you are so talented! I love the gift you made for Caleb and his wife. I am sure he will treasure it always. Take care and keep blogging!
Love,

Hi JoWynn,
I myself only started to blog 4 weeks ago when I took a course with Sharon and enjoyed looking at all those gorgeous pictures of embroidery. It’s fun and it helps me to finish things rather quickly (before a new idea takes over) because I want to put a picture in my blog.
I’m looking forward to seeing your work and have fun with your blog.

Great job! I just added your blog to my bloglines!
Hi JoWynn,
I am also living with ME/CFS. Although it will take me for a while to check your essays and artworks, I am looking forward to enjoying them.
I hope you don’t mind if I add you to my blogroll.
Hugs

[...] No work got done on the S project during 2007. I decided that what I was learning in Sharon’s courses, Personal Library of Stitches, Sumptuous Surfaces, and the TAST challenge would be valuable for the project. Also I made some gifts, especially the one for my grandson’s wedding. [...]
