Although I had long wanted to do crazy patchwork, by 2005 my experience had been limited to making my pillow,
a few small cards such as this one for Ernie’s birthday,
a small framed piece for great-granddaughter Lillyan,
and this little heart pendant for DIL Nan.
When grandson Noah was born in January, I decided to make a crazy patchwork quilt wall hanging for him. It was the largest patchwork project I had undertaken. You can read about the process of making this quilt in my Journal of Noah’s Quilt in the Essays about stitching page or click here .
