Some months ago, Annie Whitsed showed us the new design for her studio and progress in getting it re-organized. Sharon B has shown us her work room and ways she organizes her supplies, tools, and materials in several posts. Most recently, she cleaned out her work room for her “fiber diet weigh-in.”
Last fall Allie showed us her sewing room and challenged us to show ours. So that’s what I’m going to do. While I’m between projects. It looks different when I’m in the midst of one. Because my work space is quite different from others I’ve seen, I thought you might be interested in seeing it.
I spend 20 of every 24 hours in a room 14′ X 11′–154 sq. ft. It is my study, studio, meditation, bed-sitting room. Literally, it is my LIVING room.
From the doorway into my room, you see my desk with my wonderful double monitors and bulletin board behind it. Now I invite you to take the grand tour of My Space.
There are lengthy captions for most of the pictures. By floating your pointer over a picture, you can see the whole caption. You can either click through it image by image, or you can view it as a slide show. If you want to read the captions, you may want to click through the slide show, one at a time, or, at the bottom of the screen you can lengthen the duration of each slide .
I hope you enjoy seeing the space where I live and work.

Hi Jo – your room looks about the same size as mine – its not that big at all which is why too much stuff in it causes problems!
Nice to take a peak at your place
Hi Jo – I have enjoyed the grand tour of your space…Living in such a small space requires discipline and organization and it looks as if you have both…I tend to be able to organize things but am a messy worker and have difficulties maintaining neatness. part of my aims for this year are to put things away after I have used them, I am still not good but getting better and your space inspires me to keep on trying…thank you for letting us peak into your space.
Thank you for the tour of your work area! It appears you’ve eked out every nook & cranny of utilizable space, a tribute to your ingenuity and efficiency. Your studio is inviting, looks like a cheerful, comfy workspace. I must know more about your work stand or stitching stand, please!!!!
Hugs & thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing with us.I am organisationally challenged,I have to admit, and my circumstance [two very boisterous, squabling kids, and constant change of residence]does not help as sometimes I forget where I kept something. We will soon be moving into our own house, and I hope to have an area earmarked for myself.
I’ve loved seeing your space – thank you so much for the invitation to view. it’s given me so much inspiration, so many ideas but I know that I’m not ready to give up good stitching time in order to get organised – not just yet anyway – Sandra
